Handling files with both RealView and regular SolidWorks Appearance Data

In 2009 SolidWorks consolidated and relieved the need to establish colors and textures for both rendering with RealView graphics and normal SolidWorks rendering.  In 2010 it has improved the handling of this information for legacy files.  If you open a SolidWorks file saved with multiple sets of appearance data the below window will appear allowing the user to select which type of appearance information to save when converting the file to 2010.

Since we can now support display states at the part level, if you are unsure as to what set of appearance data to save, select the last option which will save both sets as two separate display states.

This works for both part and assembly files and will help keep all legacy appearance data available in an organized manner for later use.
